What are the rates for my portrait services?

My rates are set up in two parts: first is a creative fee followed by artwork sales. how much you invest is completely up to you and your photographic needs. Investment into portrait services ranges from $800-$5,000 from basic image creation to full collections.

PERSONAL PORTRAITS
Signature Session | $1500 | 30 minute set up/prep + 1-2 hour session | 4-6 outfits/looks
This commission fee includes a full consultation with complete session planning including hair/makeup, clothing, accessories, props, location, poses, lighting etc. Ordering Gallery includes 36+ images.
Session fees are for preparation & creative time only and do not include artwork.

Classic Session | $750 | 30 min set up/prep | 1 hr photo session | 1-3 outfits/looks
This commission fee includes a full consultation with complete session planning including hair/makeup, clothing, accessories, props, location, poses, lighting etc. Ordering Gallery includes 24 images.
Session fees are for preparation & creative time only and do not include artwork.

Basic Session | $500 | 30 min set up/prep | 30 minute photo session | 1 outfit/look 
This rate includes a full consultation and session planning to ensure your images are even better than you imagined they would be.

BRANDING & LIFESTYLE
Full Day Rate | $5000 | 7 hour max
The full-day rate provides up to 7 hours of photographic services and includes a minimum of 75 finished images with the typical session producing an average of 100 or more images. These sessions are great for smaller organizations/companies, group head shots, family, corporate and special events. This rate includes a full consultation and session planning to ensure no details are missed! 
Session fees are for preparation & creative time only and do not include artwork.

Half Day Rate | $3000 | 3-5 hours
The half-day rate provides 3-5 hours services and includes a minimum of 50 finished images with the typical session producing an average of 75 or more images. These sessions are great for smaller organizations/companies, group head shots, family, corporate and special events. This rate includes a full consultation and session planning to ensure no details are missed! 
Session fees are for preparation & creative time only and do not include artwork.

EDUCATION

What are my qualifications?

I started photographing portraits in 2004 when film was the main format being used for photography services. When digital cameras became more accessible she transitioned over to an entry level DSLR camera and by 2011 I upgraded to my first full frame DSLR professional camera. I offer a full studio set up on location and am also experienced with photographing out doors in all types of weather.

In addition to decades of experience providing portrait services, I am also a journeyman cosmetologist, having achieved my red seal qualification in 1997. These skills have come in extremely handy for ALL portraits, as it has helped to shape my eye for detail, but it really comes in handy for women's beauty portraits in particular, as I is able to provide hair styling, makeup and even gel nails for those clients who book it.

How long does it take to see your images after your session?

It depends on the session type.

For sessions resulting in 6 or less images, clients will choose their favourite image during their appointment so they can be edited and delivered asap. Community sessions, Angel Bella Events, School portraits and Portrait Parties are all session types that typically include choosing your image(s) at the session for faster delivery.

For Basic Sessions there is a 5-7 day processing time to cull and edit your images and then they are ready for an in person ordering session where you will see all of the edited images and choose your artwork.

For half and full day sessions there is a 5-7 day processing time to cull and edit the images and upload them to a gallery.

How long does the artwork take once it is ordered?

Most of the photo products I offer are handcrafted by artisans in Italy who produce traditional silver halide prints, photo mats, luxury photo magazines, metal prints and acrylic blocks. These archival quality products take 4-6 weeks to be crafted and shipped back to us and approximately one week to examine, package and deliver to you (depending on your location)

I also have a large selection of specialty products and prints that are produced in a professional photo lab in Edmonton, Alberta. My catalogue includes coasters, puzzles, metal license plates, ceramic mugs, travel mugs, key chains, towels, blankets & gift prints. These products take 3-4 weeks to be crafted and shipped to me and approximately one week to examine, package and deliver to you (depending on your location).

What is a portrait study?

A portrait study is a comprehensive examination of a subject including a written and recorded interview process followed by a portrait session at a later date. The interviews are designed to learn all about what makes you you, with a set of questions specific to your photo session to enable me to plan and design your session around who you are and what you like - for maximum results.

Every portrait study includes a digital manuscript of the interview questions and answers as well as physical artwork of your favourite images. You can choose from two portrait study collections, one is paper and the other metal. A portrait study is a beautiful gift for your loved ones, especially for aging parents, grand parents and loved ones including pets (for pets, the owner is interviewed).

How many clients do I work with each week?

Due to the custom nature and hand retouching in my work I do not accept more than  3 sessions per week to ensure I have plenty of time to cull & edit images in a quick time frame and get products ordered for delivery. I am not a high volume studio, I am a high quality studio giving much attention to the details that will make your artwork stand out and shine.
