- 03Yes! Absolutely! Many clients prefer to make large purchases over several months rather than pay every thing up front. Payment plans can be customized as needed and they can also be automated so you don't have to worry about remembering to submit payments. Sessions require payment in advance, and many clients like to pay an additional deposit for anticipated artwork at that time.
- 04Pricing is based on a variety of factors: Some of the major factors include experience, equipment investments, education, business budgeting/management, industry standards, services offered and product quality. An experienced photographer will charge more, but they will also provide you with "white glove" services, hair & makeup for your session, background styling/ studio set up, direction for posing and getting authentic expression during your photo shoot, professional editing skills, a fast turn around on producing your gallery & ordering your products. They will also provide you with high quality, archival products that will outlive us all.
- 05As a registered business we pay GST so that is added onto the prices listed on our website. If you choose to pay via credit card there is a 2.9% credit card processing fee, but if you pay via direct deposit or e-transfer there are NO additional processing fees. For large wall print collages, magazines, books and albums the design, set up and graphic design is included in your prices.
- 06Natanis started photographing portraits in 2004 when film was the main format being used for photography services. When digital cameras became more accessible she transitioned over to an entry level DSLR camera and by 2011 upgraded to her first full frame DSLR professional camera. Natanis offers a full studio set up on location and am also experienced with photographing out doors in all types of weather. Throughout the years Natanis has been hired to photograph: Individual, Family and Business portraits Pet Portraits Weddings Local News Stories Church Events Signature Angel Bella Children's Portraits Indigenous Youth Events Chief & Council Portraits First Nation Community Events Graduation Portraits Saskatchewan Summer Games Product Photography Insurance Documentation In addition to decades of experience providing portrait services, Natanis is also a journeyman cosmetologist, having achieved my red seal qualification in 1997. These skills have come in extremely handy for ALL portraits, as it has helped to shape her eye for detail, but it really comes in handy for women's beauty portraits in particular, as she is able to provide hair styling, makeup and even mobile gel nails as an add on service.
- 07It depends on the session type. For Classic Portraits and Mini Sessions resulting in 6-12 images, clients will choose their favourite image during their appointment so they can be edited and delivered asap. If clients prefer to view the edited files an ordering session will be booked For Master & Signature Sessions there is a 5-7 day processing time to cull and edit your images and then they are ready for an in person ordering session where you will see all of the edited images and choose your artwork. If clients prefer to view the RAW files to choose their images prior to editing they can do so by request. For Full Day and Half Day sessions there is a 5-7 day processing time to cull and edit the images and upload them to a gallery for you to download immediately when completed.
- 08The products I offer are handcrafted by artisans in Italy who produce traditional silver halide prints, photo mats, luxury photo magazines, metal, acrylic & canvas prints and acrylic blocks. These archival quality products take 4-6 weeks to be crafted and shipped back to us and approximately one week to examine, package and deliver to you (depending on your location).
- 09Yes. I do not typically work with clients who are unwilling to discuss their session needs with me in advance. That being said, consultations don't have to take long, in fact most of them are as short as ten minutes. The consultation is an opportunity for you to express what you want to achieve and it's my opportunity to show you my products and pricing so you can make an informed decision about working with me. PLEASE NOTE: Everyone who is a decision maker should attend the consultation to ensure no one is surprised by pricing or processes involved in working together.
- 10A portrait study is a comprehensive examination of a subject including a written and recorded interview process followed up by a portrait session at a later date. The interviews are designed to learn all about what makes you you, with a set of questions specific to your photo session to enable me to plan and design your session around who you are and what you like - for maximum results. Every portrait study includes a digital manuscript of the interview questions and answers as well as physical artwork of your favourite images. You can choose from two portrait study collections, one is paper and the other metal. A portrait study is a beautiful gift for your loved ones, especially for aging parents, grand parents and loved ones including pets (for pets, the owner is interviewed). Portrait Studies are available for Master Sessions and Collections only.
- 11Due to the custom nature and hand retouching in my work I only accept 2 or 3 sessions each week. This ensures I have plenty of time to cull & edit images in a quick time frame and get products ordered for delivery. I am not a high volume studio providing mass services to a large number of people at once. I am a high quality artist giving more attention to less people so I can provide higher quality services to each client I serve.
